Who Can Use YouCanDoProbate?

From my first call to YouCanDoProbate I felt confident in the help I would receive throughout the process of applying for grant of probate for my mum’s estate. The HMRC forms are not complicated but having access to support and having confirmation that no tax is due and that you have declared everything correctly, is very reassuring. It is worth the money for peace of mind and cost much less than hiring a solicitor

It is an excellent, easy to use site and refreshingly dispenses with having to use a solicitor and avoids their unnecessary high fees.

I’ve used the online tool on two occasions now and personally I believe its the best around. The system is both easy to use and very intuitive and the aftersales is second to none. Well done and congratulations for bring this tool to the masses.

Easy to follow, well guided

I found the whole process quite simple, the forms were easy to complete and straight forward to fill in.

“Does exactly what it says on the tin” I have Absolutely no legal experience and had never done probate before and I found this was a brilliant tool to get the job done. I was going to be charged over £7,000 by a solicitor and the irony is that all the data that you would need to send the solicitor is exactly the same data you need to complete the probate application yourself. Loved this software and saved an absolute fortune!!!!!

Fantastic service..best £399 ever spent. I had quotes for over £5000 from solicitors I sent off my probate form on the 28th Oct 2024 (hard copy) I received an email on the 18th November 2024 letting me know that they had received my applications. I have just received my email 30/11/24, that my probate application has been granted… Just under a month all done. I was holding off doing this job for months as I was struggling to find a solicitors that I liked.. I am so happy I came across this company.. Honestly if I can do it so can anyone!!!

If you want your Probate to come through quickly and efficiently then I cannot recommend this company more highly. We had an appointment with a Solicitor for 5th March 2025 and at a cost of £1,503 and was told it would take 12 weeks or more. I searched the internet for an online Probate Company and came across YouCanDoProbate. Looked at the reviews and saw that someone had put that you don’t pay only the £399 fee – they said there were hidden costs. So read through everything and noted that you also have to send a cheque for £300 for the Courts to gain the Probate. I did phone them to make sure there were no other costs involved and was told that no this was everything charged – no “hidden” costs at all. So on 19th February I sent off all the paperwork together with the cheque for the Courts. Just over a week later I received an email from Gov.uk to say they were dealing with the probate and that it could take up to 12 weeks. A couple of days later I received an email to say Probate had been granted and I would receive it within 10 days – on 5th March the Probate arrived through the post. So it only took 2 weeks from beginning to end. I would recommend this website and if you have any questions they are more than helpful. I don’t know why Solicitors charge such outrageous fees – this was half what was quoted and we had the Probate in our hands before the actual appointment with the Solicitor. I cannot thank you enough for making what is a really difficult time in any families life a straightforward and easy application.

As it says; “You can do Probate” all be it with a little help from the team who are really great. I had my doubts initially but I have managed to complete all of the forms and get my application in for my Mothers estate, and I am in my 70S. It was interesting that funeral expenses are an expense rather than a liability but I suppose if we think about it, it is. Many thanks to the team. I can just wait and see how long it takes to get it from here.

A very professional company and service, so easy to use from start to finish, but always available to answer any questions quickly, no matter how trivial, saved so much money compared to traditional solicitor. Highly recommend.

My mother died in March this year and I now have an IHT421 AND Probate. Very happy with the process and occasional need to call for guidance. Callbacks were always prompt and informed. The idea of having a named case worker is as particularly helpful.
